The Monterey Hostel, located in Monterey's Lighthouse District, is pleased to host a free potluck and travel program entitled Celebrate the Golden Gate: The 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. Tonight, we'll be sharing stories of the history and lore of the birth and life of the bridge that has welcomed the world to the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.

Maybe you remember the first time you saw the bridge. Maybe you remember it was the last thing you saw when you shipped out for the Pacific. What fun, frivolous, or frightening adventures can you share? We want you to prod your memory a bit. Dust off your favorite photos and bring a friend. There will be music and cake to celebrate the Golden Gate!

The optional potluck will begin at 6pm, the discussion will begin at 6:45pm. (Help setting up at 5:30pm is appreciated.) Everyone is welcome!
