Interfaith Panel Discussion on Religion and Extremism

Celebrate diversity, embrace shared humanity and build community in this special History Happy Hour interfaith panel at the Ainsley House.

Speakers from five different faiths: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist will discuss how the various forms of fundamentalism and extremism pose a problem in all religious traditions and communities. In this panel presentation, panelists discuss the forms that extremism and fundamentalism take in their traditions and how their communities meet the challenge posed by such distortions of their beliefs.

Registration will include, snacks and two drink tickets, plus entry into the lower level of the Ainsley House. All History Happy Hour programs will be for those ages 21 and over. ID will be required at the event.

Event timeline:

  • 5:30-6pm: doors open, appetizer and beverages available, Ainsley House open for walk through.
  • 6-7pm: speaker presents with time for Q & A
  • 7-7:30pm: last call for beverages and Ainsley House walk through, clean up.
