Doll Making Workshop at Slowfiber: Create Your Alter Ego
This event has already passed

In this 2-evening workshop taught by Jaki at Slowfiber on February 28 & March 7, 6pm-8:15pm, we'll explore the ideas around a possible alternative "you" as you make your own doll - exploring an alter ego that no one usually sees.
About the Workshop
To play around with our own likeness offers freedom and humor in these trying times when we approach it playfully and with a lightness of spirit.
Have you ever googled doll making or self-portrait dolls? An endless menagerie of possibilities is what you will find! Doll making is as old as time, and three-dimensional concepts of self exploration are not uncommon.
Requirements
To participate in this workshop, you must: be able to thread a needle and sew a strait(ish) line; have patience; and approach the project with a kind heart free from judgment of yourself and others.
Register
Fee is $75, which includes thread, recycled cotton filler/stuffing, pre-sewn cloth for doll forms, and an incredible scrap box of yarns, cloth, and accessories to share in the slowfiber classroom. To register and for more info, visit our website.
