Webster Street Art Gallery is holding an impromptu show of work by Asheville, North Carolina artist Kyle Banner , who was evacuated from his home because of Hurricane Helene. Stop by and see Kyle's work at 188 Webster Street through the month of October.

An artist and musician, Kyle's paintings evoke jazz, blues, and old-time musical traditions. He uses a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, pen and ink, watercolor, and the finest Italian espresso.

Play Full Ground: Alternative Education for High School Students

For years artist, educator, and Play Full Ground owner Mai Ryuno has dreamed of opening an innovative school. Now her dream is coming true. In Fall 2025, Play Full Ground, located at 550 Lighthouse Avenue, will transform into a micro high school , offering creative, alternative education for students in grades 9-12.

Mai is currently developing a school curriculum that combines art and design with academics to create a unique, engaging learning experience .
