It's late 2021 and we're been making up for lost time in Downtown Campbell. Boogie Music Festival was only two months ago, but that didn't stop Downtown Campbell from hosting Oktoberfest on its customary third weekend in October.
Saturday, October 16th was the first proper Octoberfest held in Downtown Campbell in 3 years. Yes, it has been 3 years. A severe rainstorm in 2019 all but canceled Oktoberfest. It kept most of the vendors away and nearly all of the entertainment and audience away. We'd have to go all the way back to October of 2018 for the last real Oktoberfest and so perhaps it shouldn't have been any surprise that everyone was ready to fest given the opportunity to have some fun outdoors.
It didn't feel like it on the street, but 2021 Oktoberfest was still a slightly downsized affair. Missing was the Kids Zone and there were fewer vendors than usual.
