After cancelations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, 4th of July festivities returned to Downtown Monterey with the Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station #11 kicking off the day's events at 7:30am. This annual tradition is organized by the Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation to benefit Monterey County Youth Museum (MY Museum).

The event features arts and crafts for the kids, a chance to meet local firefighters, and a hearty breakfast featuring coffee, pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, and all the fixings served up by Monterey's Firefighters behind the grill.
