Belting out a song is second nature to Kathy, who has been sitting at her piano and singing since she can remember. The professional career began in Nebraska; performing first at the Lutheran Church, then Junior and Senior High. In college she continued performing and went to establish several bands in Lincoln Nebraska.
In Nebraska Kathy honed her skills fronting several bands that went on to perform in local festivals, traveled Nebraska and surrounding states before moving to California.
In 2005 Kathy moved to the Bay Area in California and “retired” her career in performance. By the end of 2006 the music called for her return; and in 2007 she met Johnny Nitro at the Red House in Walnut Creek, CA. Johnny was the “King of North Beach” and became a legend performing at The Saloon and all around California. He hired her and gave her a try on Friday nights @ The Saloon. It was a chair that he would soon gift to her saying “you can play with me until you no longer want to.”
