Plumes Coffee House now offering indoor dining, outdoor dining, and take-out.

Welcome to the oldest coffee shop in Monterey still in operation. Plumes Coffee House is located in the heart of Downtown Monterey and has been a favorite spot to grab a cup of joe for over 20 years. The unique layout of our cafe makes Plumes a people watchers and day dreamer’s paradise. Our unit used to be home to a jewelry store and the U shaped window display area was turned into counter seating with lively views of people and things going by at the intersection of the two busiest streets in Downtown.

Our specialty is slow drip coffee by the cup. We offer over 35 different kinds of Fair Trade organic roasts and all of our teas are organic as well. Regularly brewed coffee, espresso, and specialty coffee drinks are also on the menu. We also have breakfast items, lunch items, pastries, and baked goodies. For our food items, we use local suppliers including Paris Bakery, Peninsula Bakery, and Monterey Donut Shop wherever possible.
