A Valentines Weekend with Latin Svor y Amor at Pena Pachamama
WORLD MUSIC MASTER: Four special evening begins on Valentines with San Francisco Bay Area's only 2012 Latin Grammy Nominee Eddy Navia, renown Bolivian composer and charangist with the Pachamama Band dinner seating starts at 7:00 & show at 8 PM. Than on Friday and Saturday, the great Cuban pianist Chuchito Valdés will perform sole in the upstairs speakeasy at 7:30 PM. Downstairs the Pachamama Band will heat up at 9 PM followed by Chichito. Last year Eddy & Chichito teamed up to record their nominated CD called PIANO & CHIRANGO. Another CD is in the works so don't miss these great shows. A Landmark Location in 1918 it housed one of San Francisco's most important speakeasies and became one of the most famous restaurants in the city. Peña Pachamama was formerly Amelio's, a famous fine dining establishment where Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe had their wedding dinner. The Kennedys were frequent guests. In the upstairs dining room Clark Gable and Carole Lombard rendezvoused The Peña's menu features organic produce whenever possible and serves Oregon Country grass-fed beef, free of hormones and antibiotics, and use extra virgin olive, canola and raw-coconut oils only. The bar features Latin American wines & beers, specialty cocktails such as the Mojitito, Caipariñja, Té con Té, and Calimocho- as well as a deceivingly fruity Sangria.
