Joseph Samuel Plum is a direct descendant of Welsh bards and Native American spirit. He lives off the grid in South Central Iowa within a group of trees, where he composes and presents original poetry. Joe travels extensively to share his bardic gift with communities in the United States. He is a featured speaker at conferences and bookstores throughout the nation. His belief that life is an event, not a monument, creates magical moments for audiences small and large alike.

"So much is unknown about Joe Plum that to say anything about him at all is to give a false impression of definition. We no longer have words that would describe what he is; our frame of reference is insufficient.The best we can do is to say that he comes from a time long ago. He survives from the first world into ours, the second, and is made a stranger in his own land.
