Willow Glen Library and Poetry Center San Jose are pleased to present poet Marta Wallien, who will be reading from her work. An open mic reading will follow. All are welcome to bring a poem of their own or by a favorite poet to share.

Marta Wallien is an MFA candidate at SJSU who is currently working on a novel by day and poetry at night. She has washed faces for money, has been a poetry editor for DASH Literary Journal, was nominated for an AWP Intro Award, and in the past year wrote poetry on the fly for SJSU's Poets and Writers Coalition’s "Lit. Factory Booth," giving away poetry typed on a classic blue Olivetti. She and writer Patricia Pinedo are working to expand this project, under the pseudonym "Poetry on Demand."
