Poetry Center San Jose, in collaboration with The Billy DeFrank Center, present The Language of the Body / The Body of Language: A Poetry Craft Talk & Workshop. The craft talk and workshop will explore how poets use the body in their work. Both will be conducted and facilitated by Darrell Dela Cruz, who graduated from San Jose State's MFA Program for Poetry.

A workshop is not a complimentary or critique circle. Rather, a workshop is a community which shows the multiple ways to work and/or read a poem. In this workshop, we will look over participants' poems and see how the they work, figuring out the benefits and drawbacks of a particular stanza, style, or word.
