Willow Glen Library and Poetry Center San Jose are pleased to present Marvin R. Hiemstra, who will read from his work. An open mic reading will follow. All are welcome to bring a poem of their own or by a favorite poet to share.

Marvin R. Hiemstra, poet, humorist, entertainer, and founding Editor-In-Chief of Bay Area Poets Seasonal Review, has recently had work published in Amsterdam Quarterly and The Satirist. Dana Gioia called Hiemstra's performance DVD, French Kiss Destiny, "superb." The Tower Journal praised his Poet Wrangler: Droll Poems: "Marvin R. Hiemstra is at his best in this collection, serving up humor, double-entendre, and hours of delight." Literary historian Natalie Caille simply defined Hiemstra as " a spot on connoisseur of every moment."
