Community Composting Workshops
This event has already passed
Composting is not only great for those who use the compost, but also has many environmental benefits as well. Compost reduces greenhouse gases, improves soil quality, and helps clean contaminated soil. These classes are beneficial to our community gardeners and are open to everyone.
The Public Works, Maintenance Division will be partnering with the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) and Santa Clara County to bring you composting classes taught by Master Composters who will teach you how to build compost piles and worm bins. You will also learn how to apply the resulting material to landscapes and gardens.
The classes will be held at the Campbell Community Center in Room Q-84 (Mary Campbell Room).
Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance of the class.
