Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Academy

CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) training academies are offered in the communities served by the Santa Clara County Fire Department and rotate throughout the year.
Some of the skills taught include personal preparedness, organizing resources, basic medical operations, basic search and rescue, how to use a fire extinguisher and basic damage assessment.
The Campbell CERT Academy is (6) nightly sessions and a (1) final skills exercise.
- Students must attend all seven (7) class meetings to receive a Certificate of Completion.
- It is OK to miss a class session however, we ask that you make up the missed class within one year and to attend the Saturday exercise with the make-up academy.
- Campbell CERT classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights, from 6:00pm-9:00pm, on the following dates: 1/14/2020 1/16/2020 1/21/2020 1/23/2020 1/28/2020 1/30/2020 and 2/1/2020 Final/Graduation 8:30am-12:30pm
This training course is open to individuals who live or work within the communities served by Santa Clara County Fire Department: Cupertino, Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and the unincorporated surrounding areas.
If you are interested in attending CERT and do not live or work in the jurisdictions served by the Santa Clara County Fire Department you can attend any of the CERT classes served by SCCFD, however, preference will be given to those who reside in any of the seven (7) SCCFD jurisdictions.
