An Evening with Author Ehsaneh Sadr: A Door Between Us

Join us for an evening where history meets fiction as we meet Ehsaneh Sadr reading from her novel, A Door Between Us. The novel is set during the 2009 Iranian post-election protests known as the Green Movement. It weaves together the personal and political aspects of contemporary Iranian society. Sadr will read from her book in a prepared presentation and then will be available for the remainder of the program to answer audience questions.

About Ehsaneh Sadr
Ehsaneh Sadr is an Iranian-American novelist and activist with a PhD in International Relations. She has worked, in various capacities, on campaigns related to Palestinian human rights, Iranian sanctions, access to credit for rural villagers, and safe spaces for children in crisis. She currently works with the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition to create the culture and infrastructure changes needed to support a shift away from carbon-based modes of transportation. Ehsaneh currently lives in Northern California with her husband and two children but also considers Washington DC, Salt Lake City, and Tehran to be home. Her debut novel, A Door Between Us, came out in September 2020 and has been named one of the 33 Essential Works of Fiction by Iranian Writers.
