A Taste of Honey
This event has already passed
Join Zou Beesou & Redemption for a honey soirée.
Learn to discern like a sommelier and indulge your senses through a honey tasting, led by internationally trained honey sommelier Alysa Quitoriano (Zou Beesou). We will guide you through a sensory adventure, exploring the visual, olfactory, gustatory, and textures of various monofloral honeys. Charcuterie and refreshments will be provided as vehicles for discovering your favorite pairings - as you never know what may enhance or compliment each honey profile.
Please refrain from wearing perfume, smoking, and consuming coffee or pungent foods within an hour of the tasting, we'd like your palate fresh!
Tickets available on ShopRedemption.com.
About Alysa
Alysa began her foray into beekeeping 6 years ago in rural Oklahoma and has since expanded her apiary to the south bay of Los Angeles. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion to teach, mentor, and share her knowledge around bee focused beekeeping. She is an elected official of the Texoma Beekeepers Association and facilitates the club's beekeeping courses, while her work in California has her managing hives and mentoring beekeepers around the south bay. She is certified by the Italian Register of Experts in the Sensory Analysis of Honey as a stage one honey sommelier and is currently enrolled in Cornell University's Master Beekeeping Program.
You can follow along with her beekeeping adventures @zou.beesou and zoubeesou.com.
