Join us for a fascinating evening as we learn about a Cold War Spy from Campbell. David Blinn will weave the intriguing espionage story of two Cold War spies: James Mintkenbaugh and Robert Johnson, who were arrested in 1965 by the FBI and charged with selling U.S. Defense secrets. The incredible story details the spy training that Cambellite James Mintkenbaugh received in Moscow on microdots and hiding microfilm. This is a story made for the movies that you will not want to miss!
About David Blinn:
David Blinn is a retired lawyer and lifetime resident of Santa Clara County who fell in love with History at an early age when he got an old copy of "Ripley's Big Book of Believe it or Not" from his father. David also inherited his hoarding instinct from his father, but he claims only to the extent of his own comic book collection. He enjoys living in Downtown Campbell with his wife Kathryn and is currently a volunteer researcher for the City of Campbell's History Museum.
This event occurs inside the Carriage House, next to the historic Ainsley House. Doors will open at 5:30 pm.
