About Julie Capili

Julie Capili is a song stylist - a jazz vocalist whose interpretation of The Great American Songbook has won her legions of fans. As a singer/songwriter, her creativity and playfulness are evident as she brings joy and wonder to her performances.

In addition to having been a sought after performer in the Monterey jazz scene for more than 15 years, Julie has toured in Europe and the UK. Her unique and supple tone has been influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Eva Cassidy.

About Ben Herod

Saxophonist Ben Herod is a mainstay of the Monterey music scene. His sound has been described as lyrical and smooth, inventive and emotive. Ben has played with Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Lenny Williams, Buddy Miles, and Peter Erskine and his playing can be found on multiple albums by local and not-so-local recording artists.

About Ben Spencer

Bill Spencer is one of the most versatile, therefore busiest, keyboardists in the area - university trained, he loves to play, adding jazz sophistication to every ensemble that can get him - he also teaches privately and for the Monterey Jazz Festival.

About Pete Lips

Pete Lips is a versatile and seasoned musician who has performed upright bass with a variety of jazz ensembles for over 3 decades in the Monterey jazz scene. His rich tone and rhythmic precision has enriched venues and captivated audiences across the region.

About Wendi Kirby Music

Wendi Kirby Music is a new, intimate concert venue in Downtown Old Monterey. The space features beautiful acoustics, natural light, and a deck with a view of the ocean. Please note: this venue is located on the second floor. Because of the historic nature of the building, there is no elevator.
