Twist and Shout Flash Mob at Bunnies and Bonnets Parade

Posted on March 24th, 2019 by DCBA

UPDATE: Practice for Wednesday April 17th has been moved to the Children's Room at the Home Church.

If you've ever wanted to feed your inner Ferris Bueller and do the Twist and Shout dance in a parade, you'll have a chance to knock one more item off of your bucket list at this year's Bunnies and Bonnets Parade. The parade organizers will be working with the Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) Marching Band to coordinate a Twist and Shout flash mob as part of this year's parade.

If you'd like to participate, there are multiple opportunities for you to learn the dance. Practice sessions will be held at the FCSN Center in San Jose. There's also a video (below) that you can watch to learn the dance on your own.

Performance Details

You'll be the last group in the parade and will be marching behind the FCSN Marching Band. Three times during the parade, the band will play Twist and Shout. You'll move to the front and perform the dance together. Dress in comfortable clothing and wear bunny ears if you have them.
