The Monterey Hostel, located in Monterey's Lighthouse District, is pleased to host a free potluck and travel program entitled Day Hikes in Peru's Andean Cordillera Blanca - the Highest Tropical Range in the World, presented by Linda and David Mullally.
Travelers, columnists, and author-photographers, Carmel residents Linda and David Mullally have written about their outdoor recreation adventures and hiking with dogs in articles and hiking books. Their day hikes in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca ranged from 12,000 to 16,000 feet in elevation, with scenic features ranging from alpine meadows and waterfalls to glacial lakes and mountain village paths along ancient aqueducts. Some of the most beautiful mountain peaks in the world are in this range - come see for yourself!
The optional potluck will begin at 6pm, the discussion will begin at 6:45pm. (Help setting up at 5:30pm is appreciated.) Everyone is welcome!
