On Sunday, January 28th, 2018, Khartoum held their 12th annual chili cookoff on the weekend before the Super Bowl. Fittingly, there were 12 entries on the 12th running, but as many as 20 chili masters go head to head every year to win the Grand Master of Chili title belt and a $100 gift card.

This year's winner was John with Wheezy (2nd), Miles (3rd), and Max (Last). Everyone was clearly having a good time. If you think your chili is ready for battle, start training your beans and mark your calendar for next year's cook off.

Even if your chili is no match for a can of Hormel, you can join in on the fun as a spectator because after the competition is over at 4pm, it's free chili for everyone!
