Red Cross Basic First Aid (no CPR)

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants.
When you understand first aid, you'll gain the ability to help those in need. Through this first aid certification class you'll learn how to respond to specific situations, which will help you care for people in crisis as they wait for medical professionals to arrive. This gives them the best opportunity for a positive outcome – and gives you the opportunity to change someone's life for the better.
First Aid provides additional information not covered in our Stop The Bleed class. CPR is not included in this class.
Designed to help non-medical professionals provide assistance in times of crisis, this course allows you to gain an understanding of first aid best practices for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Asthma emergencies
- Anaphylaxis
- Burns
- Choking
- Diabetic emergencies
- External bleeding
- Environmental emergencies
- Heart Attack
- Neck, head and spinal injuries
- Poisoning
- Stroke
- Seizure
This course is free to take without a certificate. If you wish to receive a certificate following completion of this course, there will be a $22 fee for the course to receive a two year certificate. This class follows the American Red Cross curriculum.
Optional Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED participant's manual will be provided free online ahead of class, a limited supply of printed manuals will be available for sale in class for $12.
