Venture Gallery invites you to meet local artist Evelyn Klein in person on Friday, January 21, 2pm-5pm. Drop by the gallery, view her new exhibit, Printmaking Meets Painting, and speak with her while she demonstrates her techniques.

Evelyn has spent a lifetime working on bridging the boundaries between printmaking and painting, exploring their intrinsic natures. Each image in her new exhibit is a seamless combination of various layers of material: encaustic monotype, collage, and oil pastels.

Her work is laminated onto a wood panel, canvas or paper, using oil and cold wax glazes to add further depth and luminosity. Lately, she has transitioned into using fabrics, stitching and fusing. This new process replaces acrylic mediums used for collage, allowing further integration of materials and techniques.

Venture Gallery is now open six days a week, 10am-6pm (closed Tuesdays). Evelyn Klein's artwork will be featured through January 2023.
