This year's Teal Run against Ovarian Cancer held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of the event that has called Campbell Park its home since its founding. The entire time it has been an effort led by two generations of a local Bay Area family.
For many of the participants, it was a day to celebrate the women who survived one of the hardest cancers to detect. Others were there to remember the mothers, daughters, spouses, and friends that they lost to it.
It was also a day to raise money and the 2024 event raised nearly $100,000 to support the Teal Foundation's unique mission of funding support services for women undergoing ovarian cancer treatment as well as funding research and awareness campaigns. They fell just short of their fundraising target, but if you'd like to help put them over the top, you can donate online at thetealrun.org.
