Each year, Campbell CERT conducts multiple training academy to prepare everyday citizens to be community first responders. In this seven day course, the attendees learn and are tested on valuable emergency response skills such as personal preparedness, organizing resources, basic medical operations, basic search and rescue, use of fire extinguishers, and basic damage assessment.
These photos are of the various CERT teams completing their certification exams on their final day of training. On this day, they'll be setup in a series of mock scenarios where they'll need to work with each other, work with professional first responders, and deploy the skills they acquired in the preceding three weeks. The trainees in these photos are from the January 2020 class.
