Youth, find your creative voice and make a difference in your community! Speak Not So Easy, a new project by artist and educator Mai Ryuno of Play Full Ground, offers youth (age 14 to early 20s) the opportunity to learn/experience the power of art practice outside of the studio, gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them, discuss ideas of their dream community, and take action in their neighborhood. Students can gain life skills, collaborate with like-minded youth and professionals, and become a catalyst for change through their participation in youth-led socially engaged art activities. The first orientation session will be held on Friday, October 6, 4:30pm-6pm at Youth Arts Collective in Monterey.
