About the Workshop

Discover the ceramic process and learn the absolute basics of ceramic sculpting and glazing in this one-day workshop. We'll use porcelain clay to make our buttons and then glaze them. It's perfect for beginners or those with a bit of practice. You'll have time to create a set of buttons or a bunch of one-offs. Pickups will be announced at a later date after your buttons have had a hot nap in the kiln.

Slowfiber will provide everything except aprons…clay doesn’t stain but some glazes do. Be sure to wear something you feel comfortable getting messy in.

Isabelle is an experienced ceramicist and teacher specializing in hand building and wheel throwing. She believes clay is for everyone! She's a working ceramicist who is a proud member of the Peninsula Potters Co-op in Pacific Grove.
