About Free Motion Stitching

Free Motion Collage using a sewing machine combines raw edge applique, design, and free motion quilting. By layering backing, batting and applique-able shapes and sewing it together all at the same time, you achieve "quilt status."

There is so much freedom in raw edge applique because any shape, figure, or item is available to use without having to turn under the edges.

About the Workshop

Instructor Lyn Sandberg has all of the answers about threads, batting thicknesses, backing fabrics, and collage fabrics. Please note: you must be a proficient machine sewist with a free motion foot that fits your sewing machine in order to attend this class.
